Sat on 10W for an hour trying to get to 12. Now I’m on 12 trying to get to 55.
I don’t know how you baws deal with this shite everyday.

I live fairly close to work/kid's school and don't have to use the interstate.

I won’t be using it either.

News just reported it a parking lot.
Nother reason I wouldn't live or work in BR.

I fricking loath Baton Rouge traffic.

It’s safe to say that people here can’t handle the fog during this time of the day.

It was heavier than usual today at 4. It was really foggy which is odd for that time of day.

Just my personal preference but I wouldn’t put myself in that position everyday. I’d buy a house near where I work or vice versa to avoid using the interstate system.
Nobody made you live in the suburbs knowing damn well the infrastructure for a daily commute into the city simply is nonexistent.

Sometimes there are other factors such as ability to pay private school tuition.

The traffic was one of the things that spurred me to work out of state.
Best damn decision I ever made.

No worries mate. Gonna’ live south of BR. And stay off the interstate.
Pretty excited about the move. Baton Rouge (at least the south end) has so much more to offer than Jackson, MS.
May take me a while to get the best route to and from work though.

Yep. We would probably be in the suburbs if we had more than one school aged kid. We can afford it so we just live close to work.
My wife's commute is 5 minutes and mine is 15.

I hang out at the office until ~ 6:30 then go home. Most nights, I take 190 instead of 12.

What area are you working in? SBR is mostly fine. NBR is rough but no real reason to ever go there.

I'm debating going through Monroe (I-20/165) to bypass BR every time I go home. Will it add 2 hours to my trip, yes.
Then again, So will going I-12/I-10

It’s not like that every day

Bluebonnet. West of I-10.
How bad is Airline if I’m coming up from Sorrento area?
I-10 may be faster that far south, eh?

Local news said drive time from Gonzales to downtown BR was 2 hours tonight. Very bad fog and all the post holiday traffic is making an already miserable drive worse.
