If you live in the south and you can’t swim, i would ask WTF is wrong with you?

Do you really not do anything in the summer that involves being in the water?

The 3 things in a triathlon are things that every person should be able to do. It may not be fun, but take your adult arse to the YMCA and get some swim lessons and be a normal human being

what was your response to the ice breaker is what I was asking- not your response to her answer.

we have a weekly meeting every Monday morning to talk about what we have going on, and the icebreaker this week was to tell the group something about yourself that we would find interesting

It isn't usually the physical act it is getting over what usually builds into a fear of the water.

I have an aunt who is deathly afraid of water. I think she said s a child she was in a car that ran off the road and almost went into a river.

At the beach if she is wades in more than ankle deep she starts to hyperventilate. The fear extends to bridges over water. Once in Florida she made her husband detour around the east side of Tampa Bay to avoid crossing the Sunshine Skyway. Even interstate bridges over rivers like the Mississippi or St. John's she closes her eyes and has a death grip on the door.

I can't swim, but I've been on the water all my life. Fishing is my life!
I have a camp at Bayou Sorrell.
