Kind of overwhelmed with the idea of double the costs of everything, double the furniture and equipment, etc.
Look, babies are expensive as you make them. To tell the truth, they will end up sleeping in a pack and play in your bedroom, you will be given enough stuff that nothing is needed for 9 months. Car seats, pack n play(s), diapers and bottles and you are good to go. Everything else is marketing.

Upshot is that now you have an excuse for a double BOB stroller.

Well if you only wanted 2 kids, at least you won't have to go through pregnancy again. That is a positive.

Twin Roo + is the way to go with the car seats.
It's about 110 for a frame stroller you just snap in.

Cngratulations. My wife and I just started the adoption process for a brother and sister, 22 months and 10 months. My wife is now 14 weeks pregnant. We are going from 0 to 3 under 3 in 8 months. Pray for me.
Congratulations and good luck to you! My cousin adopted a baby boy and had a baby boy 8 months later, after difficulties in getting pregnant. Life is going to be exciting for y'all, but joyful.

We didn't buy diapers or wipes till they were 7 months old.
We borrowed a mama roo from a cousin thinking we were going to get those. Our babies hated it and I'm glad, it was 250 a piece!

Just resign yourself to a few facts: no one will ever want to babysit, shite is going to be twice as expensive and your wife's body will never be the same.
Oh and congrats.

Fist, congrats to you and yours.
Twins at first isn't necessarily a bad thing. You are going into a brave new world, and frankly, one vs two isn't THAT big of a difference
Now when you get the third kid, EVERYTHING changes. Cars, houses, etc etc etc.

Why would we get pregnant? Didn't think that we could. Had multiple miscarriages. Instead of pursuing fertility treatments, we decided to adopt. Those 2 kids are amazing and totally worth it. #3 is the surprise and the one that makes me nervous.

Oh, so you were already in the adoption process when she got pregnant? Yikes. Good luck.

I've got triplets. My wife got pregnant and we did an ultra sound, and everything looked like a fuzzy blob. The blood work showed elevated levels of a hormone that indicated we might have multiples. We had another ultrasound and they told us we were going to have twins.
Being that my wife is 5'0" and weighs 100 lbs, and I was 6'5" and weighed 230 lbs, they recommended that we see a specialist. The specialist did another ultrasound and that is when we found out we were having triplets.
I told my wife, "That's it! No more ultrasounds.".

Triplets?! Wow, when was the last time you got to sleep?
I cared for triplets in the NICU one night. Those 3 babies were my only patients that night and they kept me running all night. I left my shift saying a silent prayer for the parents when they took those babies home. All jealous fellas.....feed one and it's like the other 2 knew right away (even though they were in 3 separate rooms) and instantly got pissed about it
