That's what I did with a 20 dollar bill I found on the floor of a fast food joint. First I asked if anybody had dropped any money. No one answered so I put it in a jar on the counter for donation for some local lady in bad shape.
If it were a parking lot, though, I'd probably keep it, as I did a gold necklace I found years ago. Later sold that for about $600.
