This afternoon we turned away house keeping, and apparently, ever since Las Vegas, any time you turn them away, they still have to come by and check the room. Every room has to be inspected daily. At least that's what we were told.

Anyone experience this anywhere else? I'm completely fine with the policy. Was just strange to get a call saying "yeah, were coming over anyways."

In Toronto and Montreal, the hotels give you a $5 a day refund if you refuse housekeeping service.

They didn't dig through anything. Just stopped by, changed our trash, a little small talk, and then gone. Lasted all of a few minutes.

I guess "inspection" is the wrong word. They just need to put eyes on the place to make sure there aren't bombs being made in the kitchen. Not that big of a deal.

Meh. I don’t mind it.
I’m usually not there when they clean anyway, so what’s it hurt for them to just look around.

I’m more worried about my toothbrush getting shoved up a pissed off maid’s butthole than anything else.

If your toothbrush smells like a 3-day old burrito when you go to brush your teeth, just put it down and find some mouthwash to use.

That’s good policy. Except for those days when I was doing coke with Goofy and Minnie

How do they get in if you lock the sliding latch?

I have no clue how many times they've dropped by. We've been here since Wednesday. I guess it's just whenever you refuse service.

Yuck.

I guess I'm weird, but I avoid maid service like the plague.

As long as you don't have 47 AR-15's and 2000 rounds of ammo, you're good when they do the check.

I've stayed in a Hampton Inn in Oklahoma that had a similar policy. You were required to have housekeeping look in once a day. They said it was because they'd had people rent rooms and make meth in them.

Can't you smell it from the hallway?

Don't understand the room check either. I mean I guess it's not hard, cheap to do, and may help to keep someone on their toes. But shite I mean it's not that hard to just keep your crap in a bunch of suitcases and they'd be none the wiser.
