Update - they are pulling weeds in the middle of the afternoon in the heat and humidity.

Today's world is much different than 20 and 30 years ago. You hear of kids that age out at that time getting shot and everyone says " why didn't the parents know". Not letting the parents know so you can look cool to a 10yr old tells me you're not totally grown up yet.
I snuck out at 14 and went joy riding with my friends that stole their moms car. When I got home I went to climb back in the window just to find it locked. I slept on the front porch.

Get a digital doorbell you can "mute" at night. My doorbell stays muted unless I'm expecting company or a package.

Sooooo I did pretty directly say that the hour was an issue
But if you think folks in your neighborhood might be shooting 10 year olds ringing doorbells cause they are so amped up about crime, you may want to chat with your neighbors about bringing it down a few notches too
