I'd be jealous for sure. Beautiful scenery, tons of outdoor things to do, and lots of big city amenities to cater to the University and Fortune 500 money there.

Moves to Fayetteville for work as a PM over a year ago, beautiful scenery. Majority of construction projects are greenfield sites with plenty of funding to go around. There are no DBE restrictions, no fighting with historical tax credits or the French quarter association.
Wife (no pics) and I are building a house on 2 acres with a pond for a fraction of the cost of buying in B.R. or NOLA. I would’ve hated on Fayetteville two years ago but I will say I was completely ignorant of it.
Edit: Do miss the food though. Some really good BBQ and decent steaks, most of the decent food is in the Bentonville area.

I used to travel to Fayetteville for work. It was always a beautiful place to stay and I miss going there. I’d always squeeze in a new hike on each trip.

I wouldn't say terrible, but the pork is getting old quick. I need some good brisket and just decent beef in general in the Carolinas.

Same, I've probably been there more than most of the people defending it in this thread. There's nothing that stands out about it. I would never, ever consider living there.
