It actually is. The fact that this is newsworthy kinda proves that point.

After getting the cash, the victim sat in her vehicle a block from the ATM on Laurel Street and refused to move with traffic, catching the eye of an off-duty Slidell police officer. The officer, identified by Slidell Police Department as Dennis Neyland, pulled up next to the car and asked her if she was OK, to which the woman replied no, McKneely said. Raymond initially claimed she was the woman's caretaker, but the woman disputed that, prompting the officer to command Raymond to get out of the vehicle.

Raymond tried to run away from the officer, but then started fighting him in the middle of the road. Baton Rouge police said in Raymond's arrest report that the officer was left with scratches on his clothing and a bite mark on his arm.

Baton Rouge police arrived on the scene and arrested Raymond, of 999 Rosenwald Road, Apartment 8021, on armed robbery, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, and battery of a police officer.

The victim reported to police that she withdrew $800 from the bank, but police were able to locate only $263 from the scene, according to the report.
