Saw a story about this a couple days ago. First segment to be built will be thru Scotlandville. I'm imagining all of the biking and strolling that will happen there. I bet the first one to bike the stretch with be Gravy. Kibbles probably updated her gift registry list to include a new bike, for the future flood victims, of course.

He would have gotten shite done. Might need to turn a blind eye, but it would have happened.

Well, this is part of BREC's comprehensive bike pathways plan, which would be nice if ever completed.

I just would never use this portion.

Of course. You can enjoy a picturesque view of one of nation's largest refineries and countless billboards featuring personal injury lawyers while you exercise.

That seems unlikely.

Greatest way to reduce traffic is by promoting biking

Why do you say that? His mom might buy him a bike.

what's the issue with that? Isnt that where most of the stolen bikes in BR end up anyway? Seems like a smart economic decision to me

I love paths .No matter the price. I will use them all. I once took the stairway to heaven . And the next day I took the hairway to Steven. Start down voting now.

It's been a dream of mine to ride from downtown through the green belt Exxon created the last time it exploded and have a nice picnic at the foot of an airport runway.

It's 95 degrees here 8 months out of year. People aren't going to start biking to work or anything

I just have the mental picture of Deebo doing a pedal-by on someone.

Memphis turned and old railroad track into a bike and running path that connects several parks through Memphis. It is a hit and people were hesitant as first. I think this would be great for Baton Rouge.

I honestly don't think BREC would build this without the federal grant. I think they have been accused of ignoring north Baton Rouge and are going to make an effort to improve parks there while they plan for relocating the Baton Rouge zoo from Baker to somewhere that doesn't suck.

I think (hope) you are probably right. But it just shows there are no ends to government won't go to waste taxpayer dollars (Fed and state). I doubt even the people this would presumably benefit actually want this project. If I lived in NBR I think I would ask "can we spend this money on something a bit more useful?"

This will just give the peeps in NBR an area to target to mug pedestrians.
