Yes the cop received a call about said juvenile aiming the gun at others. It's why the cop was there, you know, doing his job by answering calls given to him by his dispatch.

He might have gotten an extra second to put the GUN down because, well percentages plain and simole. but he would have still been shot because he was pointing a GUN at people. Anyone that points a GUN at someone better be prepared for 2 things
1. Killing someone
2. Being killed
Even at 12 years old. I blame his parents for not teaching him to not point a GUN at people and the possible consequences of doing so.

I'd guess the lawyers for Cleveland's insurance company will begrudgingly agree (not publicly) when this job evaluation is introduced as evidence that the city of Cleveland did not exercise due diligence in the hiring and training of its police in the civil trial.

Also, someone else mentioned - Ohio is an open carry state. Boy, if a few of the facts were different in this case, that's ALL we would be hearing about from the usual suspects.
