I believe people are making unfounded judgements on a man who just lost his wife. Who forgot about his own life being in danger and followed his instinct to protect her.

So you claim you dont know this man, his wife or anyone involved, but you just decided to join TD yesterday and this happens to be the only thread you've posted in?

This guy needs to be banned, he/she is a troll and is somehow gaining pleasure from pushing the narrative that he knows something not in the papers. Don't feed the troll.

Damn. I admit I was wrong about what happened then. Both men are pieces of crap, but that’s a hard situation to have to go through. I knew the property dispute was over a vehicle, but it just didn’t (and doesn’t) make sense. At the end of the day, drugs and a life of drugs is bad.

Tonia Dardar’s relatives say she never liked the relationship between her cousin Melissa Daous and Christopher Pike.

She suspected Pike was abusive. And when he demanded that the title of a van that Dardar wanted to sign over to Daous be made out in his name instead, Dardar refused.

quote:

The relatives acknowledged that the version of events offered by Dardar’s husband, Joe, might seem hard to believe. But Dardar’s father-in-law was with him when the wild shootout erupted, and investigators apparently found evidence at the home supporting his claim of self-defense.

quote:

Friday night turned deadly when Pike, 44, went with Daous, 43, to Dardar’s home in the 7800 block of Barataria Boulevard and insisted that the van’s title be made out to him, Dupre said. Dardar, 44, didn’t want to do that.

quote:

Meanwhile, as discussions about the van title started, Dardar’s husband left with her father, Raymond Billiot, to lay down a rock driveway at another home.

quote:

Billiot was dropping his son-in-law off and waiting for him to go in when Joe Dardar, through one of the home’s windows, could see Pike holding a gun in one hand and clutching his head with the other.

Dardar tried to go into the home, but Pike fired when he heard him coming in, Dupre said. Pike missed.

Dardar crawled to the side of the house for cover and remembered he had a hunting shotgun in his truck, the keys to which he didn’t have. Dardar grabbed a rock from his garden, smashed his own truck window, grabbed the shotgun, and charged into his home while Billiot called 911, Dupre said.

Pike fired at and missed Dardar again. Dardar returned fire and struck Pike, who fell to the ground dead.

Dardar then realized his wife and Daous were both bleeding on the ground.
He instinctively went for his wife and was giving her CPR when Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived to take control of the scene.

Anyone who is capable of searching Facebook would know her last name is spelled wrong. I'm not sure why you think its b.s. other than you have a bitter taste in your mouth because of what you've been told about Mr. Dardar by someone close to you. Regardless, if you know what you think you do, then you know it would be impossible for Mr. Dardar to have had any wrongdoing in this. I dont guess you knew he was also on the phone with dispatch while events were taking place. I guess you're saying hes one hell of an actor also?
If you really knew how much this has affected him, you wouldn't be on here telling bits and pieces of "your" story. If you dont feel like you have it in you to temporarily push your disdain for him to the side, I know 3 others you should think about doing it for.

Im not a school teacher either. Not a relative, not associated. But I do know them. He may not be a saint, but I know he was working hard to right his wrongs with his wife. She saw that too. I hope none of you ever have to feel the pain and sadness he feels now. The guilt he feels because he thinks it should have been him and not her or that if he had just gotten there sooner.

Oh shut up already. There ya go. It's in the papers. You can read it for yourself. So many people, so quick to judge and draw conclusions. Im recusing myself from the forum. I hope if any of you stopped to actually read my posts, that you realize it could have been any one of us. We have created all of this hate for each other.
