Big Johns in Ferriday was way better than j'ville, but was shite the last time I ate there which was several years ago.

Damn. Hate to hear. It's been a while. The Ferriday one was usually good but that KFC buffet was hard to pass up when passing thru.

The burgers might be fine now, might've been a bad day, or maybe me. their smoked ribs are pretty good.
There's lots of folks from there, just a shame most everyone had to leave to get a decent job. Very few of my friends are there anymore. And shite neither am I.

Being from Northeast Louisana, home of the most valuable real estate, farming land and nicest people in to state, you really come off as a total asshat on Internet message boards.

I you want to plaster your name next to comments like that as a public official, you deserve whatever fate you get.
Anybody that goes on to a public forum as a public official and says something like that without hiding their identity, is probably not a very smart person, a very good person, and/or has a drinking problem.
Also, I realize that things are changing in the bible belt, but when did it become ok to use cuss words like that in a public forum as a public official?
I still don't think that is generally allowed around here without a lot of blow back from christian right republicans.
He probably thought it was ok since he was a white christian combined with being a sheriff.
Guess he thought wrong.

I'm just here to say that the sidebar to this thread is hilarious.
Because I seldom go through and clean up my contacts....I still have Larry's number in my phone as the Contact for Robert. lol
and Roy is good people, as is the farmer and the old cowboy.

You sound unstable. Tell your buddy to stop posting dumb stuff on facebook as the chief of police of a town. Sucks that he lost his job but he should understand his role. Maybe Ferriday PD is looking for meter maids.

My uncle once met the owner of Schafer's brewery. He asked him if he had a pool at his house, to which he said yes. My uncle replied "you're welcome."
