1k/mo for every American is roughly 3.8 trillion dollars per year. The federal government collects 3.5 trillion or so per year currently. It would cost about as much as the entire federal budget.
No denying it's expensive. I believe the money is worth it in the long term, particularly since it can largely be accounted for through a VAT that specifically targets our large tech companies that make billions off of our data but pay next to nothing in taxes, a carbon tax, and then the rest comes from economic prosperity. People spend more money, more taxes for the government.

Keep your eyes on the prize. Trump himself isn't the core of our country's problems and I think this is where the majority of Democrats go wrong.
Trump is a symptom. There are decades of economic rot that our political elites have turned a blind eye to until Trump came along. He pointed it out and proposed solutions (solutions that I think are old, outdated, and don't help) that won him the presidency.
We have to fix these core issues.
The core issue is corporatism, but right wing media overlords want to protect their profits so they've convinced a large swath of the country that the problem is really people who don't look like them coming over and taking their jobs.

According to Bernies economist we can just print money and it will not affect inflation.

name a single one of these "right wing media overlords" that are bigger or have a larger presence and funding than CNN, MSNBC, ABC, OR our social media outlets (Google, Facebook, Twitter). Name one.

Don't you have to be laid off or fired for something that was no fault of your own to claim unemployment?
Here's how it went down at our retail store:
Employee: Hey Aubie, I'm 60 years old and just work here for something to do. I'm in the high risk for this COVID-19 stuff. I'm not coming to work anymore.
Aubie: frick. Guess I'll have to lay you off. I can't really afford to keep you on anyway as we are "non-essential".
Employee 2: Hey Aubie, I'm a healthy college kid and love working here. However, if I'm scared you can't make me work and the feds are paying $600/week to do nothing which is WAY more than I make here working 15 hrs a week.
Aubie: frick.

LOL. Mr. Filth here want Trump putting Chinese folks in camps.
This is really too rich.
I'm going to laugh at this one for a long time. Good work.

except illegal immigration has been way way way down from it's peak during the Bush administration.
Obama did a lot to deal with it but of course y'all give him no credit for that.
Today it is largely a red herring to keep people angry, afraid, and voting R.

we allow over 15k H-1B1 visas into this country per year, so that tech companies in Silicon Valley and Austin can pay them cents on the dollars compared to qualified US citizens. You don't think Americans, real Americans, are going to need those jobs in the next 6 months?
your statement is ignorant and gross.

Wholeheartedly agree.
Neolib/neoconservative politics have just about broken our middle class.

There's really only one large right-wing propaganda machine while there are about 4 left-wing propaganda machines.
They are all corporatist propaganda machines.
I agree that immigrants are getting an unfair share of blame. To make matters worse, automation is here and is about to sweep our most common workers off of the map. We see it already in every CVS, Walgreens, McDonalds, Walmart, etc. and it's only going to expand.

Yep, no one trampled on the constitution like FDR. He was the poster child for authoritarian action.
Goes to show you people love authoritarians as pong as its "their side" in charge.

Wonderful. Doesn't mean it's not still a problem. I'm also not referring solely to illegal immigration.

Sinclair is far-right, they own hundreds of local news outlets all over the country, newspapers and TV stations alike.
The biggest cable news station is right wing
Talk radio is dominated by the right
2 of the 3 largest national newspapers are right wing
