Why do New Orleans folk identify themselves as the high school they went to rather than the college? I've always found that strange. New Orleans seems to be the only place that really does that.

Apparently he was let go from Jesuit too a few years ago.
Yeah, I think his getting the axe was one of Fitz's first actions as Prez.
I didn't mind him being tough, but he was so nit picky about stupid shite. For example, he took a point off my final avg on the first day of school because my looseleaf paper was 8.5x10.5 instead of 8.5x11. I wish I was making that up.
I took great joy in knowing that the school he loved so much (his precious alma mater) threw his arse out on the curb.

He gave me a ph once for studying in mass. I think he graduated with my dad too.
He's a stomper now with Christian Harris. Another a-hole

You are correct. Prof didn't like how Fr. Boudreaux was treated, he raised a stink about it, and he either left or was dismissed. At least, that is what he told me a few years ago. He was at Franklin as of 2 years ago.

I liked Hanemann for the most part. I remember getting "smited" by his ear pencil a few times for not following homework directions. I saw him walking the parade route on St. Charles with the 610 stompers last week for the Thoth parade.
As for Prof, I was in his class at the same time the whole Boudreaux thing went down. If I recall, he was VERY vocal about the whole situation; and I think the school had no choice but to let him go for it.

Hanneman's last year was my 8th grade year, I had teacher detention every Thursday because of that arse hole. And it wasn't Fitz that pushed him out, it was Giambelluca. He was a cool guy, but went a little over board. And to guy that got points taken off his average for loose leaf paper, pretty sure this kid in my class got around 15 points taken off his grade for wrong loose leaf, and shite like that will get you fired.
Anybody ever see the legendary video he showed to seniors? Still trying to figure out how I can see it.

There are also peripheral associations such as Jesuit students tending to be a little conceited, weird, and people do love to call us gay.
There's a ton of Jesuit envy in greater NOLA.

Can't say that I have. Although my senior year was Katrina so things were a little screwy to say the least.
And yeah, the administration there can only hear complaints from parents for so long. Ms. Tedesco had floods of complaints from parents and eventually, the school figured that was enough and she was let go. I suspect the same was done to ole Robin.

There was a lot that went down when I was there.
There was an English teacher who had a mental breakdown in the middle of the year. Fr. Boudreaux was already mentioned.
I was also there when eggs were thrown in the stairwells, someone defecated on the bathroom floor and $200 worth of soft drinks were stolen from the vending machine. All three of those events happened on the same day.

Good ole mister you got something on your shirt guy. He would go around doing that 5 year old's gag over and over again and was so insistent that eventually you had to give in even though you knew it was coming. I'm convinced that's all he did around there.

Never heard of it. I'm curious.

We played a similar game with Fr McGinn. Every time you asked him "How are you/how's it going?" He would answer "Faannntastic"

IIRC our football great Chris Markey was mixed up in that somehow.

Yep, I think he threw the eggs. Only a 3 day PH (anyone else would've been suspended)
I remember they kept us all after school for like an hour. This was before cell phones were prevalent, and you had tons of confused parents just standing outside of the school

My dad was Class of '45.
Brother was Class of '73.
Nephew #1 was Class of '01.
Nephew #2 was Class of '04.
Nephew #3 not so much, left Jesuit after 2 years
For all you Blue Jay haters, Wally and Nick Pontiff were Blue Jays, so there you go.
Go Jays!

Love Chris Markey (he went to UCLA) and Chris Brown (not as much love, he went to the Vols and became Tiger Bait.)
They were both friends with my nephew #2 and played on various sports leagues together in St. Charles Parish.
