Toyota Tacoma is the only other major brand vehicle model that holds its value as well as a Jeep Wrangler.

It ain’t your daddy’s Jeep anymore and some of the drive by wire shot ticks me off sometimes, but all in all, I’m still happy being a Jeep owner.

All of this.

I'm happy my wife got a jeep so that I can sell mine. If I did it over again, I'd find a CJ or a YJ.

I don't understand the jeep culture. I do have some good ideas about fricking with the whole duck thing. They had a lot of big trump jeep rallies leading up to the election and my wife had to talk me about of putting gay pride ducks on all the jeeps.

They seem really expensive for what they are, a novelty car. The best way to drive them is with the top up but all of the doors and windows off. That way you have shade and some cover if it rains.

I'm on my 2nd jeep. I love them. I get tons of compliments on my 2013. Mine is lifted and on 35s. Drove it to work today in 4x4, and today/tonight we are getting nearly a foot of more snow where I live in Ohio. It wouldn't matter if we got 3 ft of snow....my 4x4 is great

The board loves to hate on them but I like mine.

Almost 100k miles on mine (2014 Wrangler Unlimited). Never had any major issues. I’ve driven it on several long road trips (like 16 hour trips each way) and was comfortable. Have taken it off-roading in Sedona so I know how to use the 4x4. It’s my daily driver as well (20-30 minute commute each way to work). Maybe some of these men complaining about it being uncomfortable are just delicate little flowers

I have a hard top so cabin noise isn’t as bad as the soft top. But like someone said...if cabin noise is a big issue to you...don’t get a Jeep.

They are, but they hold their value very well.

Problem is, a good chunk of the people buying jeeps now would be happier with some of the options that the Bronco will have.

I don't know how 2020 was for jeep sales, but I know going into 2020, there were still a shite-ton of unpurchased 2018 jeeps sitting on lots.

Fiat screwed up by releasing the new JL model in 18 along with the 18 JK models. Stupid move.

Love my Gladiator. I show a lot of land here in TN, also do flips so always need drywall, cabinets, tile, etc...Can load up the bed and go. Can take the top off on nice days and get all the benefits a Jeep offers.

The 4.0 inline 6 was a great engine.

For as ride, cabin noise, mpg, longevity....any major issues or pretty durable??

I have a 2015 JKU with about 110k on it.

Ride - average

Cabin noise - with a hard top - low average

MPG - 15

Longevity, etc. - had a major valve job done around 50k miles. It clattered life a typewriter. Repair covered under powertrain warranty. No other issues. Have oil changes/servicing done at the dealership.

The 3.6 is a good engine (I think they started using it in 2012 or 2013).

Not a good daily driver, but not terrible either. Not much storage spaces or creature comforts in the cab.

They hold their value so well you may find it makes sense to buy new.

There is the "death wobble" that mostly effects older models. It seems monkeying with the suspension (jacking it up) may contribute to this. I've never had any issues.

Biggest plus, throw a winch on it and it will go anywhere. I've driven mine to Colorado, It is not terrible on the highway. The midrange stock radio is surprisingly good. Rear visibility is limited, so get one with a backup camera if possible.

If you want a daily driver on regular roads, I'd say no because of gearing, noise and ride.

The OT is not the place to ask about Wranglers. It's too far out of their hermetically sealed comfort zone. Just like motorcycles.

Yes it's loud (because soft top or top down is the only way to go). And if you have the right tires on it. But the soundbar can drown all that out anyway.

The ride is horrible as having it lifted is the only way to have it and it degrades the geometry.

We won't talk about MPG.

It is dependable, like a tractor.

All I know is I wish my dad was into Jeeps in addition to muscle cars back in the 70's.

Most fun car I've ever owned. Period. But I'm a country boy.
