.@LouisianaGov: "Everybody has a role to play. It is extremely important and it has never been more urgent than it is right now. There is more COVID in Louisiana right now than at any time in this pandemic." @FOX8NOLA

.@LouisianaGov: "While the vaccine will be critical in ending the pandemic, it is not going to save us now. That's what people need to understand --- it's not going to save us now."
@FOX8NOLA

What I am opposed to is forcing people to take a rushed, minimally tested vaccine, ASAP, for a disease that may not even cause a person in good health symptoms, much less death.

I am not for the forced beheading of 4 year olds

Just wanted to argue this eventhough nobody is arguing otherwise

Which is my point that not everyone should be forced to get vaccine, only those that it’s most dangerous to

I don't know why we can't treat it like the flu vaccine?

why is this so goddamn hard for you people?

I don't think we will all be forced to take it but we might be in order to do certain things like get on an airplane or go to a concert.

Nah, all that bullshite will go away. Now, school yeah, possibly. But I doubt it.

I have no issue with that, people choose to take the flu shot or not
As far as I know it’s not required for kids to go to school

Like a tetanus shot. You don't have to get one, but why wouldn't you?

Not yet, but again, I fully expect it to very soon. The ‘leadership’ is way too deep into this one to back down now. They’ve preached doom and gloom for so long that the movement is too big to fail.

Two people, today Thursday the 10th of December told me they dont even think it is anything but the flu. I just nod and move on nowadays.

I think this is what they are aiming for. If this shot gives lasting immunity then one round of vaccines (2 shots) should be enough to mostly eradicate it.

Awesome. Another ‘safe, and effective’ from JBE. This should be a drinking game.

So everyone that wants it gets it and everyone that doesn't want it doesn't get it? And we all mind our own fricking business?

I hate JBE

But I have taken no issue with his stance on the vaccine

If the vaccine is as effective as advertised, I have no problem with this strategy.

Why is a vaccine necessary for someone that has over 99% chance of survival?

Because people spread it to folks who don't have a 99% change of survival is how I understand it.

I also understand the flu spreads as well, but this isn't the flu.

A friend of mine had to close her clothing store today due to Covid. Of all times of the year and after having been closed for so long when this first came up. I hate masks. I have no idea if they work well or at all, but I'm tired of living like this. I want this to go away.

I'm afraid of the vaccine because it's new and it hasn't been tested for very long, but I'm also afraid of getting Covid and of giving it to someone I love who may not survive.

JBE said he doesn’t think vaccine will ever be mandatory BUT if not enough people take it the virus will continue to spread & pandemic will continue
