Well, that must not be for the nurses. Just like the GPT policy didn't originally exempt expectant nurses.

At best, yall fail at effectively communicating policy to unit managers.

What is more likely is that you don't know everything like you think you do.
Would the other Ochsner employees like to tell lnch he is full of shite about the cutting of merit for certain employees since I dont know what I am talking about.....

I can see that too.

But the doc I know and the nurses I know were all begging for a shutdown because they were “scared for their lives and the lives of their families.” They wanted everyone to know how at risk they were and how brave they were. Half of them don’t work full weeks anymore and are now upset about not being furloughed to get the unemployment.

It's going to take a LONG time for people to stop using early March Covid hype talking points despite all the data coming in saying it's nowhere near as bad as people claimed.

That report was from the last week and references and links the CDC study.
I agree 100% that we aren't getting the truth from our "leaders". I think this is by design so none of us know what is real info and what isn't so normally rational people like myself and lsupride will continue to argue and divide an already divided country.
I'll continue to take what precautions I think might be necessary until we know. You can do what you like, as is your right.

Obviously we are looking through hindsight but I think one of the issues was the loudest voices were coming from the most vulnerable areas - large cities - and they were right to be concerned. The lockdown was effective in New Orleans. People can disagree but the numbers are what the numbers are.

The issue was extending the needed protections in New Orleans (and possibly Baton Rouge) to places Churchpoint and Marksville which were operating under a completely different set of circumstances.

Perhaps yall should address who information makes its way from administration to the units then, since there must be some disconnect for you to contradict what has actually been said twice now.

Sure, and a large percentage still think the virus is hoax, that the government is inflating COVID deaths, and doctors are frauding the U.S. government through deceitful coding.

ETA: And to be fair, there is just as many on the opposite end who see that 10 people died of COVID over the weekend and think that we should keep the entire country shutdown for six months.

The vast majority of hospitalized COVID cases from Jefferson were hospitalized in NOLA hospitals.

At one point in late March, 66% of every hospitalized COVID patient in the state was in Ochsner Main Campus in New Orleans.
ochsner main campus is in Jefferson though

This isn’t hindsight.
I’m still being told this as recently as an hour ago.

I dont get this response

You state the vast majority of jefferson residents were put in Orleans hospitals. You then used a jefferson parish hospital to incorrectly make that point.....

Why are you acting like it isnt a good rebuttal to point that out to you It seems you are incorrect that the "vast majority of jefferson residents were in orleans hospitals", no?

No. What you linked was “updated” last week. The covid study it references is old. Healthline is a shite website.

They did this before. Why wouldn’t they do it now for an extra 20%? There’s lots of incentive and hardly any way to prove fraud once the person is dead and buried. We gonna dig up all those corpses?

If true virtually every doctor would have to be in on it.
