Also, it isn’t New Orleans or Jefferson pariah Causing this...

It’s the East Baton Rouge region, Acadiana region, and delta region

This is fricking stupid, we have 440 cases total in Lafayette Parish

ETA: We've had 200 cases in the past 3 weeks, which means 240 of our cases are either recovered or dead (only 18 deaths total in the parish). So 200 "active" cases in a parish of ~240k people

It's a fricking joke.

What? Acadiana region has barely been increasing in cases decreasing in deaths per day. Acadia parish had like 3 new cases all of last week and no deaths

That isn't eating at a restaurant. I can make a reservation, sit down at a table, and receive a full-service dinner inside an actual restaurant.

Uh yeah, I can.

Online and "just about anywhere I want to go" doesn't mean "literally anywhere." The only caveat in Texas is the business being able to financially support reopening or a personal decision not to open yet.

You think sitting on a park bench eating a poboy and drinking a beer is the same as siting at a table in the courtyard of a restaurant drinking a beer and eating a poboy?

Salmon doesn’t appear to be a bad dude, but he is incredibly naive when it comes to Democrats. He stated earlier “there’s really no reason to expect JBE to extend the shut down”. Yeah, except he’s a Democrat, and with Democrats expect authoritarianism.

It's not likely to go away after this.

Enjoy your take out lunch and beer at a closed restaurant. I'll enjoy my non dysfunctional government.

In Lafayette Parish we had 247 cases in the first two weeks (starting from the time of our first positive). In the following 3 weeks, we've had 200 total cases.

How in the wide world of frick is that an increase? The smaller parishes in the region are getting like 1-3 cases per day.

Any that thinks restaurants and bars aren’t going to find loopholes in this new order to generate new revenue is just naive and isn’t worth debating any longer.

I’ve seen what’s been going on around here the past 6 weeks. This will just open things up a little more further when they’ve already been pushing the limit.
