Japanese outlets said companies have “banned” women from wearing eyeglasses

Surprising fact: Japan has “common requirements” for women’s appearance at work. Makeup and high heels are mandatory. And the Japanese use the term “Yamato Nadeshiko” to refer to the ideal woman. She is a perfect housewife and mother, but still beautiful and youthful, according to a Georgetown University blog post.

I don't see the problem, here.

The retraining of that country after WWII really fricked up their culture.

Their culture was pretty fricked up before WWII.

Truth. But MacArthur helped swing them from one extreme to another.

I was going to downvote you for no pic of a "Yamato Nadeshiko", as i wanted to see what the ideal Japanese woman looked like.
Did a quick google search, and this is all i could find, so i didn't downvote.

I go to Japan pretty often for work, I don't know what drives their policies at the hotel we stay at but I love it, front desk, concierge, anything to do with a face to face with the customer, are all women, all beautiful young Japanese women, immaculately dressed(heels, skirt and blouse, or dress,) when I walk in the door with a crew of 14-15, they already have everyone's keys ready at the front desk, but I never make it to the front desk because one of these young ladies greets me with a clipboard and a key, and of course they won't let me touch my luggage, love it love it

Japan is a very loyal country.
With all the shite for SJW around here, it's becoming a much more appealing place.
And it isn't all "put women in their place", it's more of " what can we do to keep this country great?"

It's more like what does not drive their policies. And that's all the government equality regulation.

are we the only country that's so fricked up along those lines? from all of the places I go it sure seems like it, just about everywhere outside the US, women love being feminine and attractive, and pleasant to men

Exactly, the SJW mentality here in America whether they admit it or not is all about lowering your standards. Japan is about raising your standards.

Good way to put it.
It really goes back to JFKs "Ask not what your country can do for you...." statement.
No SJW wants to do more to improve the country, only wants others to do less.

Well, if we expect women here to be feminine and the same standards as Japan’s, it would be due to the evil patriarchy. But in truth, women here don’t like to raise their game and hate competition.

On another note, why is it offensive to ask a woman’s age and weight in the US? You go to Asia and they answer the questions like it’s no big deal.
