Judging by her clothing, she appears to be the girl who was on her phone in the street and tried to run at the last second, on the video of the truck hurtling down Bourbon
I thought that girl was white.

Agreed. She's also with the girl with the very blonde wig that was also seen in the video with the truck.

Yep, I just rewatched the video and that's definitely her. Poor thing, only silver lining is I bet she died instantly.

I’m not 100% but I believe they also are at least partial owners of Las Palmas as well. Or their extended family, anyway.

True. I’m just going with the pictures that were posted to ProjectNOLA’s Facebook which would have been where they ended up after the carnage. The one with the wheels was photographed at Bourbon and Orleans.

Is there a reasonable explaination to why he set fire or bombed his Airbnb? Why did he care? He didn’t burn his house in Texas down?
Not trying to go all conspiracy but one reason would be if there were others involved. But from what I’ve seen I don’t know why others would have been involved, there was nothing here that took multiple people.

It makes it even worse that the a-hole who did this and took Kareem from them claimed to do it in the name of the religion they practice.
Maybe I'm in the minority here but "peaceful" Muslims not calling out the actions of their "radical" peers is a major part of the problem.
Even in their post (unless it's lost in translation) they're saying that their son being collateral damage during a terrorist attack in the name of their own religion was "Allah's plan". It's mind boggling

That post was made hours after it happened and right after they identified their dead son in the hospital. We didn't know a lot that we know now. Just something to keep in mind.

A reasonable explanation from a guy who planted multiple IEDs then drove over 40 people while firing a gun out the window?
Could just be as simple as had another bomb and didn't burn the house down in Houston because it would tip his hand and have people looking for him.

It’s what people of all faiths often say to help them get through tough times. “It’s gods plan” “it’s gods timing”. That doesn’t mean they condone the act. It means that for now it gives them a little peace thinking that their son is now with allah as he planned. At least some members of this family struggle greatly with the intertwining political and religious issues related to ME issues. This will only add to that struggle. Please don’t blame them for this.

It does beg the question as to why did he bother? Did he think it would help keep his identity a secret thereby aiding him in an escape after the act was committed, or was he in fact trying to cover the tracks of others abetting him?

Or like NOFD reported there were bombs/bomb making materials in the house and this guy was trying to create a scene to get more people hurt. Covering his tracks doesn't fit. Nothing he did including posted the videos makes you think he was trying to hide.
The fire call came in the same time as he went down Bourbon. Which means if all the IEDs were supposed to go at the same click of the detonator then the Mandeville street IED was the only working one.

You are missing the actual good info.
It lists where the IEDs were planted.
He did not act alone. I can only deduce they are saying that for three possible reasons.
1) to quell fears because they are still on the loose.
2) they are on the loose and the feds want them to relax so they are easier to catch.
3) they caught them and are flipping them.
He did not act alone.

I have 16yrs in US intelligence, and I’m a part of a group of guys, all of us former intel with a specialization in the Middle East, me specifically on the western jihadi movement, who offer insight to folks on occasion and literally none of us believe this was a lone wolf scenario.
The consensus is that he was probably recruited by ISIS and AQ provided logical and planing support. He did not act alone.
