Have we even considered people who live in apartments with parking garages? They can’t even get their lifted brodozer in the garage. Poor guys.

The problem is there is no way EVs can replace gas engines yet. Americans these days do lots of long drives and what would take a gas car eight hours to drive would take an EV a few hours more due to having to charge for an hour after every two or three hours of driving. An eight hour drive that turns into a 11-12 hour drive isn't acceptable for the average person.

I only refuel once a week or so. No sweat.

You spend more time refueling than 99% of EV owners.

We replaced an ICE car with an EV. Zero problems.

This like watching a Jehovahs Witness try and convert someone to the true faith.

Last time the power was out due to hurricane and there were long long lines for gas, I just charged it off of my natural gas generator and avoided all that.
So you were dependent on hydrocarbons to fill up your battery?

Tesla is like a hobby for Elon. If it was to fail, he would be okay. All the car manufacturers see the demand for his cars and are trying to play catch up. I think he sells it soon to some giant sucker. Not saying it would be a bad buy, but the infrastructure is not in place and won't be for a long time, like 25 plus years.
I’ll be honest with you, this may be the dumbest shite I’ve ever read on here. And I’m not even sure if it’s because of the fact you called a trillion dollar company a hobby or that you dismissed the Supercharger infrastructure which other car companies are now making deals with Elon to use and changing their charging ports to use the Tesla connector as the industry standard.

Your anecdotal experience doesn't suit most Americans

For the average EV driver, a 30 minute stop at a charging station happens about as often as a 30 minute stop at an oil change station for an ICE driver. Then the ICE driver spends more time at gas stations than the EV driver spends plugging in at home.
Yeah if you only commute in a city.

I need to drive long distances for work sometimes on a whim, I can't trust an EV to keep up with that right now.

People don’t drive/commute like before so the price difference isn’t justified like 2019. Things will come into balance eventually.

When Ford throws in the towel , taxpayers will bail them and all the others who committed to EVs, it will be similar to baling out college loans
