The lady who jammed this guy up, over or under 300 lbs? It just seems like something a fatty would do.
I don't know. I wonder if another article has any clues?

His seatmate, a blond-haired, 30-something woman sporting flip-flops and a red tote bag, looked him over.
He was wearing navy Diesel jeans and a red Lacoste sweater – a look he would later describe as “simple elegance” – but something about him didn’t seem right to her.
She decided to try out some small talk.
Is Syracuse home? She asked.
No, he replied curtly.
One word answer and completely tuning her out? Sounds like we've got confirmation.

What did she think he was doing? Casting a spell?

In this true parable of 2016 I see another worrisome lesson, albeit one also possibly relevant to Trump’s appeal: That in America today, the only thing more terrifying than foreigners is…math.

I'm highly surprised TSA didn't call the local PD in because they hadn't seen numbers in so long

Seems pretty harmless to me.

You're kidding right? Or you just have no idea about Wharton. I'm guessing the latter.

Reading between the lines here,
Does she think terrorists are inherently smarter than the average Joe?
Because the average Joe would be sitting in a seat mindlessly playing with his phone.

Well they are called Arabic numerals for a reason.

The bitch is prob from up north. I'm kind of tired of people generalising southerners as racist. fricking shite lords.

I am willing to bring back flogging at the town square for crimes of pure stupidity.
This chick deserves a public flogging.

Why can't people mind their own damn business?

That's genuinely a tough question. Is it stereotyping and getting in someone's business? Yep.
But let's not forget the neighbors of San Bernardino heard noises from their neighbors garage but didn't want to say anything for fear of being called racists. Sure enough, those neighbors were the shooters.
How do you balance caution without racially profiling or getting in someone's business? I don't know. It's a tough position to be in.
With that said, if he were a terrorist.. Idk why he'd be doing his terror equations while already on the plane.

No. The "love it or leave it" thing is only utter by ignorant people. If George Washinton and Thomas Jefferson believed this, the original 13 colonies would be still under Great Britain. Steve Jobs would've never created the iPhone if he didn't criticize the cell phone.

People need to be more direct with others.
Dumb woman: "Hey, is that Arabic you're writing there?"
Snotty professor: "No, it's math. I teach this stuff at ________ University."
Stupidity avoided, plane takes off on time.

Hell, even if it was Arabic, it would not be call the cops time. A few million people use the language. Get a grip.
