I really didn't even want to post this at all. Honestly, I haven't told my job (I work from home -- so no exposure to co-workers else I would have come clean). I just told them I had a bad cold. I only get 3 sick days a year. I need the money right now as my wife is out of work (this happened before all the covid stuff). Anyways, I hate to see people worry as I have been something of a worry wart and know it makes life miserable.

Hang in there man. If you need anything, like a GoFundMe, the OT is here to help. And I speak for the entire OT board. Hope you get better.

Did the senate ever pass that 80% pay for 14 days bill?

Try to see how that works and let us know how you navigate that

No. Where I live there were a shite ton of people who were skiing. That's how everyone thinks the virus arrived in Colorado. People from Washington, California coming to Vail to ski. People from my area who were skiing probably brought it here. Just a guess. Doesn't really matter though.

Of course. We have probably a week's worth. I have full confidence we'll be able to get more when we need it. God provides.

So you're just not going to work for a month? Working from home?

I work from home about 80% .... the rest of the 20% is travel to clients' site. Thankfully it will be 100% work from home for the next two months.

Got some weird bumps in roof of my mouth. Got a scratchy throat and then sniffles. Next day, I was out for a walk and got out of breath pretty bad. I went back home, fell asleep (about 2pm in afternoon) woke up next morning at 4am.

I had something REALLY similar short of the bumps in the roof of my mouth. Of course I attended all the parades and festivities of Mardi Gras since I live in NOLA.

On Wednesday Feb 26th I started feeling poorly in the middle of the day and left work around noon. I woke up at 3am on the following morning and my lungs were burning really badly. I spent the next few days on the couch sleeping and running a low grade fever. I finally went to the doc on Friday. They didn't test for the flu since I had obvious symptoms and prescribed Tamiflu. After 24 hours my fever broke and I started to feel better.

It was a week before I stopped getting winded really easily. I dismissed it because after 24 hours on the Tamiflu it "broke". Now I'm not so sure.

How long did your symptoms last?

Probably 4 days and now I feel fine and it's only been about 9-10 days. Honestly this sounds like what I've had but I do know someone who got tested with exact symptoms and they said it was the flu. So, 50/50 you could have had cv.

Wonder how long you had it before showing symptoms.. I was trying to avoid a friend of mine who just got back from NYC on Friday, but I went to lunch yesterday at a usual spot and he just showed up because his other friend (and coworker) he normally eats lunch with was told by his wife to avoid contact with him due to their diabetic son. So he just sat down at my table at a Blimpie Sub shop. He was in NYC for the opening of Edge NYC Wednesday-Friday which was subsequently shut down after his opening day experience there just two days later.
