Was driving down Perkins and saw a lazy boy recliner in the back of a pickup with a bow on it like the Lexus commercials

Wife was tired of her Camry even though we have gone through 3 of em. We had a Lexus SUV in between the last two Camrys, she liked being higher off the ground feel from the SUV so I got to looking. Found a Telluride drove it home, bought it next day. Wasn’t Xmas though. All I got

And I can’t stand when they buy one for themselves at the same time because the deals were so good.

These are the most unrealistic commercials on tv.
Much less the whole family. I instantly tune all of those out.

I agree. The last car we purchased together we looked at different models and ultimately she went out and bought it herself. She was master negotiator so I had no issues with her handling the purchase. She called me at the office and said I just bought a car. Win for me since I had no need to babysit her.

This is something an ad man came up with 60+ years ago and they’re still going with it

I feel like I've reached a happy medium. The last time I bought a car, I just told her, "hey, I'm going to buy a new car tomorrow, and it's probably going to be about $25,000." And she was like, "k, keep me posted."
We've settled somewhere between the giant Lexus bow people and the people who finance Altimas at Deal'n Doug's.

Had a relative get his wife a van for Christmas a few years back without consulting her. She hated it, wanted a SUV. Since he had traded in her original car, she borrowed a car from her dad and never even got in the van. He eventually sold it, taking a huge loss.
