I don't think endowment and foundation are the same thing or serve the same purpose.
I'm certainly not educated on the difference however

No they don’t. At least not services that could be provided at one of the largest existing schools.

Crazy how much it’s fallen.
Katrina killed it.
They need to sell some of their unused land for residential development. Use the proceeds to fund repairs/renovations to the remaining buildings

Seems like this thread has forgotten or doesn't know that UNO will be turning back into a LSU satellite campus this year

Could close the schools listed below Northwestern. Those seem sufficient to cover the state. Someone said close SELU. SELU is a good university. I’m not surprised to see Loyola near the bottom. Is it even relevant anymore?

Any HBCU in Louisiana will never be closed. Which ever political figure even suggests it will be crucified in the media.

I’m skeptical it will make a difference. That campus feels eerily empty

UNO looked like a prison GED program in the movie Hitman

Mississippi Valley State's graduation rate is below 30% with some speculating the number is actually below 15%. That's freakin ridiculous.
Isn’t Southern’s in BR single digits?

My father told me today that my niece was accepted to Villanova. And it is $95k a year. I said no way that’s true. But, it is. I googled it. That’s F’ing nuts
(Tuition + room and board, books , etc)

And LSUs-LSUa-SUNo which should all be the first ones done
I posted an enrollment graph earlier in this thread. LSUS definitely does not need to be "done"
It's almost the size of Tech, and bigger than ULM, NSU, Grambling, Southern, McNeese, UNO and Nicholls.

Dude ULM's endowment is a whopping 2 million dollars
That’s a savings account, not an endowment

Related note I wonder what it would cost to start a college
I I believe the Walton clan has a school planned for the former Walmart headquarters. Pretty surprised billionaires out there aren’t putting their name on some schools like how duke and Vanderbilt got going. Elon musk could buy a closed school and start a musk college for pocket change for him.

Louisiana could take a page out of this book.
Was the 'systems' creation some attempt to merge. I really don't understand the significance of it all, but we only have 3 when you lump them up. still seems expensive per university with the system method.
Louisiana State University (LSU) System
Louisiana State University – Baton Rouge
Louisiana State University at Eunice (two-year)
Louisiana State University of Alexandria
Louisiana State University Shreveport
