They aren't. You just have to look around for dealerships. I know a guy who went out of state to get a new one for under MSRP.

There are very few cars like this. The reason the GX is that way is they are super hard to get.

In Ohio the lots are overflowing with cars, everything is at a discount.

I could have, i just didn't want to give it up and have to wait another 6 months. I might call him back if i can get a 2 row LX OT allotment.

This whole thing doesn't make sense. Cars, housing, and other things are outrageously overpriced. I really don't understand how and why people keep buying.

Because many people think $700/month over $600 a month is no big deal, and 7 year note over 5 year note is no big deal.

So they do 700/month for 7 yrs over 600/month for 5 years. Thats a huge difference in purchase price.

Of course most of these places use "no haggle market based pricing" where they will not negotiate on price. The advertised price is it. But what they do is drop the price little by little until they finally sell the vehicle.

I had bought 3 cars in a row from CarMax. Not having to deal with dealership BS is amazing.

But their prices are out of control. Many times their fixed price exceeds dealership advertised price before negotiating

Trucks now cost more than my parents paid for and acre and a tri level house with a garage, 2.5 baths, 3 bedrooms, and a FULL basement.

They don’t have to haggle. I’m fairly sure those days may legit be behind everyone.

A price will be listed and either you will pay that price or you won’t.

And you might not and walk but that’s ok because the dealership has the upper hand. Someone will pay it. Someone will be tired of searching or just need a car or want that specific one and will agree to it
