While their attendance may have been inconsistent in the past, they have recently shown significant improvement.

At stadiums I stopped eating/drinking the usual stuff decades ago because even then they were selling for 10x cost. I only have had what looks to me to be interesting limited time/special offering/unique items.

Think the last was a limited time ice cream cake in a plastic team cap collectible so it was expected to be expensive. It was quite good though. (not in NOLA)

Why would anyone eat at the ballpark?
You know the food is awful and is very overpriced.

Take a few minutes and go to Chick Fil A. Good food at a reasonable price.

I don't understand people who can't go 3.5 hours without food so will spend 15 minutes in line missing the game they paid to see in order to buy processed overpriced food.

It's part of the experience. I need at least a beer and hot dog anytime I go to a live sporting event. Time it right and you won't miss anything

A good hack I've found is that in many premium seating areas you can get sauerkraut and jalapeños for free from the self service condiments section.

You must ride home with the car windows down

I went to another venue this weekend with Aramark, and it sucked just as much as Tiger Stadium concessions, but was slightly more reasonably priced.

A lot of people don't realize, companies like Aramark and Sodexo Live, for stadium concessions, some of it they contract out, and some of it they do themselves.

The stands that are contracted out are generally pretty decent.

The stands they run themselves are generally pretty awful.

And even the contracted stands can vary. Some of them, the master concession provides all the food and drink, and the sub just provides labor. Others, the sub provides everything.

The price issue comes from having to pay multiple people. Aramark gets a cut, there's a sales tax cut, LSU gets a cut, the subs get a cut, the workers have to get paid, etc. If LSU were to run it themselves, they could probably get rid of at least one level of profit cut, but then they would have to actually do the work.
