Oh, I know. Don't know why and don't really care. Have seen way too many accidents around it.

"What do you think Hector?"

"Hmmm... sounds like a crazy plan but we already spent millions on the study, so what the hell, let's just go with it."

Because of the last living dragon that lives in the woods at the center.

And this lagoon bridge thing isn't even a real roundabout wtf is the point.

With all the trees that fell in there after the hurricanes, that must be a small dragon.

It's a crap hole and the traffic circle is nothing but a wreck magnet.

Who you telling? Thats why Caubbarreaux just put his new office there, where he can look out the window and spot the accidents in real time.

Wait, so you're suggesting that the design is intended to have drivers take their eyes off the road while trying to execute a continuous turn?

They should have made it continuously rotating, like a people mover, so you'd put the car in park and take in the view for a round or 2.

Doesn't look like too many pedestrians, or vehicles for that matter, judging by that picture. Looks like it's in the middle of nowhere where there isn't much foot traffic.

LINK

The locals are mostly less than amused at the bridge and the road work leading to it.

Photographs from ground level either don't do it justice or don't have much to work with

And the rubble and ruins would sit there for 10 months

But, since in the water, it might make for a good fishing spot...
