Bawcomville is actually an Italian settlement.

No, Monroe/West Monroe’s Italian settlement was centered around where the Monroe civic center sits today and extended into the downtown area near Saint Matthew’s church. Bawcomville is a bunch of rednecks. Never met one Italian who lived there.

My mother is Sicilian. According to Ancestry, she had Albanian and Greek lineage more than anything else. Northern Africa was like 1%.

Independence checking in. My Mom's side of family are a part of this group and have farmed strawberries, bell peppers, cucumbers on the Brickyard Rd for over a century and continue to this day.

Wife's family are the Macaluso's, Inzinnas, Dorsas, Biamonte's...Her grandmother had 6 brothers and 6 sisters. So if you're from Tangi and your name ends in a vowel, they are probably related.

I'm from Philadelphia and I pissed off a lot of people when I moved here because mostly in the New Orleans area I would hear the Yat, Brooklyn accent in a lot of people and ask them if they were from New York.

Learned later that was because of the Italian and Irish migration to the region.

You’re talking out of your arse.

I’m an Italian descendant from the Monroe area and I’m here to tell you that Bawcomville is not and has never been an Italian enclave.
