That you could leave your house and car unlocked when not in use. When my dad moved in '87 where I had been raised since '62, he couldn't even find the house key.

I don't remember them being that cheap.
My dad would give me a dollar and I would ride my bike to the one & only store in town and get his cigarettes, and use the 3 or 4 cents in change to get one jolly ranger or fireball.

When the Monroe taco bell opened everything on the menu was either .79 or .99
And that was for like the 1st 3yrs.

Well, this was back in the late 50's to early 60's. My dad died in 61 at age 35 and I was just days shy of my 9th birthday at the time.
