I'm only 40(ish) but my dad says he got his 1st pair of shoes when he was 6 (1st grade(1949ish))

So take someone like my dad who didn't have indoor plumbing until he was 10, to using an iPhone.

The internet was way cooler when you have to jump through a couple of hoops to access it.

A kid and his friends could leave their parents and all of the cares in the world behind on the weekends for hours at a time and just enjoy the outdoors and the simplicity of childhood.

No cell phones
No wallets
No checking in
No texting
No social media
No internet
No way to be contacted at all

I went to a gas station last week that actually doesn't have a credit card machine on the pump, you actually pump your gas, then go inside and pay. I haven't seen one of those in decades.

My grandfather remembers his dad riding a horse to work and the day that he was late and came home with their first vehicle.

Remember my grandfather talking about going to get a loaf of bread each week and one week they started offering to slice the bread for an extra .01.

clowns weren’t considered creepy by everyone.

Kmart and Walmart were legit rivals.

Many new cars would go 0-60 in 12 secs.
