Maybe. We will also be great allies to those fighting the resistance and robots who wish to fight with us.

I heard it played with different frequencies. I heard laurel twice and yanny once.

I blame dr Dre and his shitty Beats products.

People that hear yanny are hearing a different version than the righteous

Yes because there's nothing subjective about this.

There's really only one absolute in this thread, and it's that TH03 has been wrong in every one of his posts.

All you do is change your mind on things and then act like you own everyone in every thread. You've turned into one of the worst posters on this site. It's sad, because I remember you being good. Now all you are is a caricature of yourself.

This really sucks because I named my daughter "Yanny" when I thought it was Yanny. Now I have to go and pay the legal fees to get her name legally changed to "Laurel".

Would folks please stop fricking with us like this? Thanks.

Cool, but that's not what's being said so your ears are playing tricks on you
what an odd thing to melt 13 pagesabout. nobody is arguing that the word isn’t laurel. at least i’m not. i think it’s telling that most of the yanny people can hear both (yes including the word it is, “rabble rabble it’s laurel!” ) and laurel people (who are def the angriest) can’t make out yanny at all.

Here’s some reading

Okay, you're not crazy. If you can hear high freqs, you probably hear "yanny", but you *might* hear "laurel". If you can't hear high freqs, you probably hear laurel. Here's what it sounds like without high/low freqs

Well, according to this hearing test, I can hear over 17000 Hz, which is good for all but the last 5 seconds of the test. I'll take that as I can hear high frequencies. In the video in your link where you would supposedly hear yanny, all I hear is laurel.

There is no “right or wrong” in this scenario, especially since it begins from a digital representation of sound. I think the best comparison isn’t a colorblind vs not thing but similar to how “Magic Eye” works. You can alter your brains interpretation of the information available to either see or not see the 3D effect. When you’re not seeing it in “3D” you’re not seeing the photo wrong, but different...multiple perceptions of the same thing.

Being that a lot of people are able to hear it both ways it’s a difference of how your brain perceives the information available.

and according to a stupid twitter video, you can’t hear the high-pitched yanny and laurel people who have the same problem have spent 13 pages being mad and insulting people over it, even if those yanny people literally can hear laurel as well. sad!

What problem do I have again? Are you saying that hearing 17000 Hz isn't good enough to hear this supposed other noise that is in there?
