Well maybe not in louisiana but surfing is my main hobby and its really cheap all things considered. I also play soccer a few nights a week and that's also cheap. I'd say they're pretty fun. On the other hand, I don't find sitting in a deer stand to be much fun but it is expensive.

Dignified life, since so many of you can't do fricking research.... is defined by the US Housing Authority is "having the same needs and wants met of a family or individual for the median income or household income for the surrounding area. This includes a proportionate sized set of tires, and rims made of the same alloy as those living on your street, as well as a cell phone which exceeds the gross monthly income of any single individual family member." How much of that $63,648 is health care costs? What amount of employer contribution is included

See my earlier post regarding this. I clicked through to the study methodology and they include not only the premiums you pay but also employer-paid premiums.

Also, they assume your kids will be going to top-tier child care centers, even the ones enrolled in public schools.
