Rather live in Alliance than BR.

Sentrius, you speak the truth. The Longs are still collecting corrupt oil money checks. Laughable anyone would reference Long as being some savior to this state. We love our crooks here and that is reason #1,001 why we suck.

Our current Governor, John Bel Edwards, loves the hell out of Huey Long, idolizes him and considers him a model Governor.
No wonder I consider him to be the political twin of Edwin Edwards.
It's imperative we remove him from office this fall.

I spent 6 months in north Kansas. I'd love to have a conversation with you where we compare life in fricking Nebraska to life in Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga, Charleston, Raleigh, etc...
Plenty of crime and culcha in Chattanooga and Atlanta. People act like these are some white folk retreat paradises

This trend is nothing new

It's this thing called capitalism. It allows for people to start companies like FedEx

Stop letting the litigant lawyers run our state and then enact a pro business tax and regulatory scheme. If we don’t, we will be just like Mississippi.

I don’t know how.
Do whatever Texas and NC and Georgia do.
They put the corrupt in jail, not the state capitol.
If that building collapsed in session, it would be a great day for this state, but the fricking morons who live here would just send the same type of a-hole to replace the squished ones.
So, there's your problem: Louisianians.

In Louisiana Republican terms that means temporary tax breaks or paying businesses to relocate here, then leave
Neither of the two running for governor have stated that they want to change the tax and regulatory scheme at a real level.
Further, the places with those kind of things in place have infrastructure. Businesses won't just relocate to a disaster because it's cheap. Louisiana is decades behind states like Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina in attracting business.

If you were on the poliboard in and around November 2015, you could tell and spot who the trial lawyers were with their shameless shilling for JBE as like he was some conservative blue dog democrat when his voting record said otherwise.
Here he is with his owners "Get Gordon" and "One call Morris Bart", the two biggest ambulance chasers in the state.
