My point was, groups all over over world have been oppressed. Many of them fairly regularly throughout time. Michael Scheuer posed a very interesting question: if Israel has a "right" to exist (as American Zionists like to say), isn't it valid to then say every country that has once existed has a right to exist? The Holy Roman Empire has a right to exist. The Soviet Union has a right to exist. If I were to say those two former entities had a right to exist, I'd be laughed at.
The fact is, we treat Israel differently for two reasons: i) the disproportionate impact Jews have in the legal, media and financial sectors of this country; and ii) the millions of evangelicals who have swallowed whole the heresy of John Hagee's dispensationalist propaganda.

Yep. My grandfather was a Zionist Jew. I grew up going to a synagogue. Israel is amazing. Jews are remarkably successful at producing innovative clever adults in virtually every field. The history against them is terrible.
That doesn't mean we gotta support all this shite nor does it mean that a Palestinian or a German owes some Israeli dude born in 1994 anything because some other people were mean. Far from it!
It will never stop until religion is eradicated, and even then maybe not.

I’m Jewish by birth but completely non-religious. Both my parents lived multiple years in Israel, my dad was in the Army. I have zero desire to visit. I don’t consider myself a Zionist. My life would be so much easier if I was just born a Christian.
