I think Israel is done giving a frick what the “international community” thinks about the biker gang living down the street from them.
They still care to an extent because they need support. We have already seen terrible people celebrating these attacks in our own country and other western cities. If Israel goes complete scorched earth and public opinion here starts to waiver, it wouldn't be completely out of the question for this administration to pull back on that support.

Yes and no. I believe Israel has to strike quickly or risk losing some global support. There will be horrible scenes and reports that come out of Gaza. If they are too slow, the images of Hamas' terrorist acts will wear of on some people and the media will be quick to show non-stop coverage of Palestinian casualties. Many members of media and our own leadership have already shown that they are willing to overlook Hamas' targeted attacks on civilians. They won't do the same for Israel whether civilians are targeted or collateral.
This is true, but I think people are talking about a couple of days, not weeks, when referring to the time Israel has.
A full-scale ground operation in Gaza isn't a gimme - even if all goes perfectly according to plan, there will be significant IDF casualties.
The certainly have to consider the tide of public opinion turning, but they won't make tactical decisions based off of it. They'll take the time they need to do it properly.
And, of course, we're assuming Israel cares about global support. They have in the past, which has handcuffed them at times, but I'm not so sure they GAF this time.
I've been through more than one major dustup while actually over there and analyzed others from afar. This one is definitely different.

Rocket alert sirens in Tel Aviv.

They were using garden hoes to chop the children’s heads off. I would like another 2000 insraeli bombs today to take out the rest of that Gaza shithole please.

This administration has been passive aggressively fricking with Israel since inauguration.
Knowing that we are a fair weather friend means that Israel doesn’t fear as much us pulling back our support IMHO.
If we strongly supported them and they fricked around, loss of support is a bigger threat.

Wait. I thought they were financed by Iran.

Al-Jazeera is the state-owned media entity in Qatar.
Funded by the Qatari government. They claim independent editorial control, but we all know how that goes ...

I really hope this is not true, that's fricked up.

Story is that IDF found about 40 beheaded children at one kibbutz.
Posted on 10/10/23 at 9:03 am to jchamil
There are disturbing videos showing them doing it and laughing with excitement every time they murder another child.

fricking animals. The incoming details of the carnage against the Israeli innocents will be staggering to anyone with a soul.

It’s not just Israelis they have murdered. These barbarians have killed foreign nationals from over 20 countries so far. China has 5 dead and 11 missing.

Problem is that a lot of people don’t have souls and/or say “Well, Israelis deserved it.”

I made the mistake of clicking a trending hashtag on twitter (#IsrealAttackedPalestine or something similar) and holy hell the amount of idiots defending palestine was just insane. I couldn't believe it.

Undoubtedly some of them are real, but I’d bet a majority of them are bots trying to sway opinion.

That is where we has decent human beings need to tell the lazy Gen Zers that support Hamas and Hezbollah to sit down and shut the frick up. We are seeing these demonstrations supporting Hamas because weak men are scared to stand up and say what is right. You don’t attack civilian targets, murdering the elderly, raping women and executing children and deserve mercy. You take those animals down and place their heads on spikes for the world to see.

I noticed lots of blue checkmarks that all had the same exact post. Clear sign that a bot farm is going vroom vroom vroom

What I should have clarified is that IMO they still care, but not as much as before the attacks.
War is supposed to be terrible. The things required of Israel if they want to actually put a dent in their Hamas problems will be on a brutal scale. But if they want to survive, it will be required of them. Those tactics will lose them some support. How much is the question.

Thank God I missed these videos.

That idiot, Blinken, has already called on Israel to show "restraint".
