The Al-Shifa Medical Center in Gaza City is now under the Total Control of Israeli Forces, with attempts being made to enter the Terror Complex beneath the Hospital.

japanese is the correct term whether using it as an adjective or a noun. "japanese people" "the japanese"
Correct…..and hear me out here…..but people are saying “japs” as a shortened version of “Japanese”.
And you still haven’t explained the why. You just keep repeating the same post that doesn’t explain anything.

japs" is an abbreviation of an exonym that came to popularity during a time when we weren't so chill with japanese people. you can say it innocently but its still thought of as a slur.
So you’re just completely unaware that people are and have used the label “jews” in a “not so chill way”? And that it can still be used as a form of a slur?

Interesting that Israel hasn’t come out with all sorts of evidence yet of a complex system beneath Al-Shifa.
Either they haven’t breached their way down there yet or it isn’t what they thought it would be.
As a reminder, this is what the IDF claimed:

I saw someone cite an interesting piece from 2014 on all of this.
LINK
quote:
The idea that one of Hamas’ main command bunkers is located beneath Shifa Hospital in Gaza City is one of the worst-kept secrets of the Gaza war. So why aren’t reporters in Gaza ferreting it out? The precise location of a large underground bunker equipped with sophisticated communications equipment and housing some part of the leadership of a major terrorist organization beneath a major hospital would seem to qualify as a world-class scoop—the kind that might merit a Pulitzer, or at least a Polk.
So why isn’t the fact that Hamas uses Shifa Hospital as a command post making headlines? In part, it’s because the location is so un-secret that Hamas regularly meets with reporters there. On July 15, for example, William Booth of the Washington Post wrote that the hospital “has become a de facto headquarters for Hamas leaders, who can be seen in the hallways and offices.” Back in 2006, PBS even aired a documentary showing how gunmen roam the halls of the hospital, intimidate the staff, and deny them access to protected locations within the building—where the camera crew was obviously prohibited from filming. Yet the confirmation that Hamas is using Gaza City’s biggest hospital as its de facto headquarters was made in the last sentence of the eighth paragraph of Booth’s story—which would appear to be the kind of rookie mistake that is known in journalistic parlance as “burying the lede.”
But Booth is no rookie—he’s an experienced foreign reporter, which means that he buried the lede on purpose. Why? Well, one reason might be that the “security sources” quoted whenever the location of the Hamas command bunker is mentioned—which, as evidenced by this 2009 article by the excellent and highly experienced foreign correspondent Steven Erlanger of the New York Times, happens every time there’s a war in Gaza—are obviously Israelis, not members of Hamas. It might be hard to believe the Israelis, the simple logic might run, since they obviously have an investment in arguing that Hamas is using hospitals and schools as human shields.
The Israelis are so sure about the location of the Hamas bunker, however, not because they are trying to score propaganda points, or because it has been repeatedly mentioned in passing by Western reporters—but because they built it. Back in 1983, when Israel still ruled Gaza, they built a secure underground operating room and tunnel network beneath Shifa hospital—which is one among several reasons why Israeli security sources are so sure that there is a main Hamas command bunker in or around the large cement basement beneath the area of Building 2 of the Hospital, which reporters are obviously prohibited from entering.

True, but it wasn’t long ago we all got caught up in this:

By the way, I hope Israel wipes Hamas off the face of the earth. I’m just playing devil’s advocate to this one specific claim.
Generally, I know Hamas has a complex tunnel system with a command and control structure in it. Just not sure if this is what everyone thought it’d be. Perhaps Hamas moved locations prior to October 7?

jew is the correct word. jewish is just and adjective form of jew meaning "of the jews". you can say jew mean as you want its still the right word. just like you can say "the chinese" with all the venom in the world they still chinese.
little thought experiment:
japanese : jap :: chinese : ???

“You shouldn’t say ‘japs’ because it’s a slur”
*calls people autists and retards
Your “there’s no such thing as a Japish or Japese” might be the single dumbest argument that I’ve seen.

Things that can be for certain:
1: Hamas has a complex tunnel system and sets up strategic locations near or inside civilian properties
2: Every side of a war engages in some level of propaganda to either win 3rd party support or justify actions.
3: Hamas/Palestinians murdered over a thousand innocent people during a festival of peace.
Number 3 is what keeps letting me give Israel the benefit of the doubt.

Bruh, there is also the chance they're in the middle of an operation right now
Regardless, I highly doubt the tunnels are as portrayed in media, but I'm guessing that when IDF is finished with them they'll be even less photogenic and hard to accurately show (for purposes of scope) in video/photos

im not tellin you what you should and shouldnt say, just why one is a slur and the other isnt. im not coming from a woke angle just basic grammar. jew is a word. jap is not.

But you haven't. The only "why" you've stated is that there's no such thing as a Japese or Japish. That's a terrible argument. Everyone is aware of that. It's short for Japanese.
There's no such thing as an Aussieese or Aussieish, either. Common sense should tell you it's short for Australian.

Bro....your leading argument is that there's no such thing as Japish.

i was just saying that if instead of japanese they were "japish" or "japic" people, then the collective noun would be "japs". the same way jewish people are jews. but theyre fricking not theyre japanese.
its how the english language works.

I’m fully aware. I’m also fully aware it’s an entirely stupid argument. Imagine not understanding the concept of shortening terms.
“Japs” predates WW2.
