I hate war. But I really hate war when it involves religion.

Pretty good Xwitter thread here that sets out to disprove an Al Jazeera article attempting to prove the parking lot strike was from Israel.

This 'investigation' is flawed. It concludes that the al-Ahli hospital explosion was from an Iron-Dome intercepted rocket that fell/exploded.

This is demonstrably untrue as the Iron-Dome is a terminal-phase interceptor. It does not intercept in the launch phase.

they do have quite a few mig 29s

When we deployed F35s to the ME in August, the Russian Air Force turned into roaches when the lights turn on. That tells you all you need to know about Russian confidence in SU-27s and MIG-29s in a modern theater.

Trying to start an offensive using bottle rockets? You’re gonna have a bad time.

Donald Trump made that decision. Biden followed through on the Trump Administration's plan.
No. He didn't. He accelerated the time line and renegotiated several parts of the transfer.

Biden admin inherited a shite situation… but instead of reevaluating, they pushed forward with the previously established date.

Both admins are to blame… obviously Biden more so than trump.

So essentially Biden just said, "frick it let's wing it"

We all know it would have NEVER went the way it did if Trump oversaw the pullout. His foreign policy was so much better than the current one.

Israel doesn’t need to issue explosive collars or weapons. Hamas has their own.

Bidens withdrawal was a disaster. There is zero reason to leave weapons and other material for the Taliban. If we couldnt get it out it should have all been piled up and blown up.

This administration says I dont need an AR15 but they left fully automatic M4s there for the goat herders.

No, not at all. I just have a hard time justifying theocracies, whether they be in Iran or Israel, or anywhere else.

Generally speaking I take Israel's side in this.

At the absolute least, the Biden administration pushed back the date of when it happened.

The problem is that the original date was during a season when it was not possible to campaign in Afghanistan. Biden’s team pulled out during prime military campaign season and mothballed Bagram AFB overnight without telling the Afghanis it was happening, meaning the Taliban were not only on the move but the Afghani military had little way of stopping them.

When your counter-insurgency teachings to the Afghanis were to use air support as a major component, shutting down the AFB is a big fricking deal.

It was doubly stupid because the Biden administration said troop limits meant they could only keep the AFB or an embassy and they chose to keep the embassy.

If the choices are to push back and reevaluate or to just wing shite, as mentioned by someone else, pushing back is usually the better option.

Back to my point above. These people have been fed lies and propaganda their entire lives so any hope for some uprising to get Hamas out of power is long gone. People like to throw out the same "Palestinians=/=Hamas" talking point all the time. But in reality, in Gaza, they kinda do equate. These people have been brainwashed by a group of radicals and we have seen the ramifications of that "education" in the attacks carried out two weeks ago. All the video I've seen mostly consists of pretty young guys murdering and kidnapping innocent people so I'm sorry that I don't have much sympathy for the "everyday citizen"in Gaza.

I fear this is all pretty much correct. I do though have sympathy for the every day citizen in Gaza. Same as I do for North Koreans. No one should be raised in that toxic an environment. But easy to say when they aren’t your neighbor.

Regarding the youth demographic, I definitely thought Iran’s giant millennial cohort would moderate that country over time. But as has happened in the US, millennials have turned into 30+ year olds and Iran is still a theological menace. I don’t think Gaza is going to moderate through natural aging either. Leadership has to change at the top.

The mullahs control who can even be on the ballots and a generation of people wanting change likely got wiped out when they protested during the Obama years and the regime captured and tortured a lot of them.

I mean this towards the media and not the previous poster.

Hey Aljazeera, nobody gives a shite who blew up the parking lot of the hospital. If Hamas did it, they're idiots. If Israel did it, Hamas shouldn't have put their leaders in a hospital.

All fault lies with hamas for sneaking across the border like cockroaches and murdering a bunch of civilians. They get what they get.

Even if that was the case, which is certainly was not, that doesn’t put any blame on Israel for, duh, shooting down a Hamas fired missile.

Per Twitter, a US base in western Iraq got hit by a drone attack and a number of projectiles have been intercepted by ships off the shore of Yemen.

Sure sounds like Iran’s proxies want shite to heat up.
