You do realize that neither side of this conflict reads "The Bible"?

Maybe it’s time all these lovely Palestinians to fight against Hamas and all the “outlier” bad Palestinian people…

On this you are exactly right. Israel needs to make the ordinary Palestinians hurt so much that they decide that getting rid of Hamas is easier than dealing with the wrath of a rightfully vengeful nation. Serve up Hamas to Isreal and beg for peace.

I thought I saw something that Hamas won with 53% of the vote….to me, that 53% are all guilty….at some point the 47% have to rise up and do something about this….if that 47% are tired of having their buildings destroyed and women and children killed because of the actions of Hamas (53%) rise up, ask the Israeli’s if they would help…I know it’s more complicated than that but at some point the citizens of Gaza have to do something other….unfortunately if they do, there would be blood spilled but it’s better than what is happening now.

Big picture - this is not just about Hamas. Have to consider who actually benefits from such an attack that will cause Gaza to be destroyed.

Iran coordinated the attack and funds Hamas. Russia backs Iran.

Hamas are just poor people who are used as mercenaries to do the bidding of the bigger players.

They won 53% of the vote back in 2005 when Israel forcibly removed all citizens and handed Gaza over to the Palestinian Authority. Since then Hamas has methodically indoctrinated the population (excellent read below how they get the population indebted to them….pay particular attention to how they brainwash children). So it is realistically likely now 70% or 80% support in Gaza for Hamas now.

Well I guess we’ll see how much of Palestinians and Muslims are with Hamas.

See, this is where the complexity is lost on some of you.

Define "Palestinian."

Do you mean only those who live in the WB and or Gaza, under PA/Hamas governance?

Do you mean Arabs of the exact same origin (basically Transjordan), but were offered Israeli citizenship because when Israel took control of the area they lived in, the Israelis intended for it to be a permanent part of Israel?

Those people are Palestinian, but also "Arab Israelis" with citizenship. Plenty of those people serve in the IDF. One of the articles posted earlier in this thread listed an IDF KIA with an Arab name. I wondered if anyone noticed it.

Or do you mean the WB/PA should wage war on Hamas and clean out the bad actors?

The Israelis won't let the PA have a functioning army (for obvious reasons). At best, they have a police/security force, capable of performing basic internal functions without being an external threat to anyone.

Which is one reason they haven't been able to take Gaza back from Hamas. Hamas has much more fighting capability than the PA. The other reason is Gaza is detached from the WB. You think the Israelis would let the PA roll through there with weapons and equipment (which they don't have in the first place)?

So exactly HOW do you propose "all these lovely Palestinians to fight against Hamas and all the “outlier” bad Palestinian people…"...???

You comment is a perfect example of how things sound obvious and right, but aren't reality. That's why making this declaratory statements (talking about the hundreds made over the course of the thread) is foolish.

It’s amazing Iran is able to convince these bastards to essentially run suicide missions on Iran’s behalf when the Palestinians really don’t get anything out of it. Gaza is still a shithole that’s completely blockaded. They’re just getting themselves killed so Iran can watch Israel squirm.

oh completely agree. If the Palestinians in Gaza don’t like it they can raise up arms against every member of Hamas themselves

I get your sentiment, but what arms? Hamas has the arms.

Another declarative statement that ignores reality.

Define "German" in WWII.

Those in German proper or those in Austria, Czechoslovakia, Alsace Lorraine?

What about those who were not ethnically German but fought for the Germans?

In the end, it's up to the people to keep those above them from getting them killed for the benefit of their leaders.

Are you saying there are no arms other than in the hands of Hamas? You make a population suffer enough it can take down an army if it needs to. It can offer intel to Israel, it can refuse to cooperate.

This is true, Iran complicates the landscape of this situation. Either way the Hamas militants still need to be dealt with….once that is resolved then you deal with Iran.

I gave a pretty detailed explanation in my post replying to another similar comment. Your answer is there.

But yeah, with regard to the average person in Gaza who's not a Hamas fighter...

Hamas not only has the arms, Hamas pretty much IS the arms.

This is a true statement, but that's not what I addressed. This is what I addressed. The straw man is your own.
