I wish America would do like Israel and make everyone spend a least 2 years in the military after they turn 18.

I completely agree with you, and yes I served as well, 6 years. Have a few Isreali friends from when I was a teenager living overseas and they were not bothered by it at all, dudes or chicks. And no, I didn't live overseas because my family was military, Thailand because of oil. I'm the first in the family to join.

So I am not allowed to have an opinion? I am not saying everyone should go to war. It doesn't have to be 2 years, it can be for 6 months. And those who want to serve can move on after their 6 months, they will be the ones who are involved in fighting in wars, but my point is.. I think it would be beneficial if everyone had some type of military training.. That would teach them some type of self discipline, etc.
But again, my situation doesn't prevent me from having an opinion.
