Why do so many Americans back Israel no matter what? If you are willing to sacrifice one American life for Israel then I question your patriotism and judgement.
Bring on the downvotes but you probably can’t give me a legitimate reason to back Israel that isn’t religious.

Yes I do. I think now they are doing just fine. I hope Israel flourishes. I just don’t think it’s worth one American life or one American dollar.

You questioned my patriotism and judgement. My conclusion is based on a cousin in the pentagon and a high ranking friend in Air Force intelligence based in Florida.

Ok then I will say I’m wrong. Israel’s military strength isn’t a concern of America. Just like Ethiopia’s military strength isn’t a concern of America. Why is Israel worth an American life or dollar?
I don’t think American soldiers, who I deeply respect, should ever be put into danger unless America is directly threatened.

They won’t allow themselves to become toast so they’d be forced into a war with nukes possibly. We stay involved over there to protect the Arabs as much as the Israelis.

Israel’s military strength isn’t a concern of America.
Once a country like ours becomes engaged in the affairs they it continues. Many of the countries we have walked away from has failed. That's on us.
The strength that you speak of in Isreal comes directly from us. Last time I looked we have no troops in their country. Their ability to protect themselves is advancements and equipment mostly from us.

Ok. Once again why is their strength a concern of America? Our arm manufactures can sell them weapons if they can pay. Why should we ever come to their aid or back their actions? They are a sovereign country and can do what’s in their best interest. But, their best interest isn’t best for us. No one can ever answer why Israel is worth one American life or American dollar?

So you are a libertarian?
Their strength is a concern of America because they cannot do all the things you list by themselves. I thought I covered that.
Also, If it wasn't for the backing of another nation (us) other countries would be more likely to attack them.
If you follow how they came to be after WWII you would probably agree that NATO should be doing most of what we do. The problem there is NATO hates them.
Of course we could simply let them take care of themselves. Based on countries not worth our best or our $$s we would have to move out of a lot of countries where we actually have boots on the ground. We would be so much better off not sending money to other nations, especially plane loads .... to one that hates us.
If you want to go that route I'll have to let this drop. That expands this into a much bigger topic. One that I stay away from.
