Does he spend much time critiquing those set on destroying Israel?

Or is it, oh yeah, Iran is bad...but let me tell you about Israel!!

the entire nation collectively retched at the thought of another middle eastern war.

The entire country didn’t want to get involved in Syria in the first place. Dominate sides were our enemies and playing referee is a no win situation.

The ask of Congress was a farce, and it was his way out of his 2012 red line proclamation that he kept redrawing and also to help with negotiations even though passage was very questionable from the start. It barely got out of the Dem controlled Senate committee.
quote:

President Obama said Saturday he'll go to Congress for approval before launching a strike against Syria, but he also made it clear that he doesn't believe he needs anyone else's permission.

… And Obama himself seems to have taken a range of different views. Proponent of Congressional authority cheered candidate Obama in 2007 when he told the Boston Globe:

"The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation."

But that same camp has been disappointed since, both by the Obama's 2011 decision to authorize missile strikes in Libya without congressional approval, as well as his administration's extensive use of drone strikes against al-Qaida operatives — none of which were specifically authorized by an act of Congress.

Saturday, Obama split the difference, claiming authority to go it alone, but saying it strengthened the nation's democracy to make the decision in concert with Congress.

… Syria is no longer just Obama's problem, as now that Congress has a hand in the decision-making, it will also suffer a share of the political consequences. And given that there are no easy answers in Syria, that's a burden the president is happy to share.

… But if Republicans provide the votes needed to approve military strikes and Syria, they will be wedded to the consequences.

It's impossible to divine what role the political calculus played in the president's decision, but the reality is inescapable: On Friday, Obama faced a no-win decision in Syria. After Saturday, he won't be facing it alone.

I don't think I would use a literal white supremacist as any basis of argument

It's funny watching all these supposed America first anti war posters suddenly fall in line in the name of protecting another state's interests

Yea. Pretty wild how our system can work to keep us out of trouble when you follow the constitution before starting a war.

Trump has demanded unconditional surrender of Iran. When that doesn’t happen will we say Trump redrew a redline or art of the deal?

It's how Trump always works, he tries to negotiate something insane and when that doesn't happen either one of two things happens next one he'll agree to something that usually favors the other country or the deal will fall apart. Regardless he'll act like it's a massive win or the other side was being unreasonable and his base will eat it up because that's what they always do.

At least now you're seeing some break in MAGA but still a strong number are digging in their heels and firmly planting their heads into sand over it

Just some Spec Ops and Marine recon in the Kurdish area where US companies have oil/gas fields The stupid thing under Biden were nationwide sanctions that kept a Houston based company from installing a small refinery there in the oil fields it owns.

Its wild to see us with a President doing everything he can to drag us into a war with Iran after his predecessor was able to keep us out of Ukraine

Seek and ye shall find. I well remember the outrage that Obama did nothing after some sailors were captured outside of Iranian waters Their little boats have run at US ships for decades

Nicholas J. Fuentes has an interesting internet show on Rumble.

Dude has been cooking lately, even though I do not see eye to eye with him on some issues.

Heckin love Nickers - hes so smart and funny. Hes also livid with Trump doing Bibi's bidding. Were all so down on Trump lately. Its very sad.

NJF hypothesized that Trump may drop a tactical nuke. Would be awful.

There are many things you can do to get that label

Mentioning the fact that Trump has always been a big government progressive
Mentioning that Trump put Fauci in charge of Warp Speed, got the vaccine himself, and encouraged others to do so
Saying that it's actually a crime and morally reprehensible to invade your neighbor
Bringing up the fact that Trump went something like 0 for 62 in court trying to "prove" that the 2020 election was stolen

The list is long, and the criteria to get on it is short

If we get involved, outside of very specific scenarios, it's a massive failure of Trump and will be seen as such.
