As hard as it would be for you to not deny Christ to save your hide, it would be that difficult for me to deny him. I have NO doubt in my mind or heart that God not only exists, but Jesus is the Son of God and he died a torturous, horrible, agonizing death to offer himself a sacrifice for the salvation of all who would believe on him. Denying that would be, to me, denying everything my physical and spiritual life is predicated on. Being a child of God is more precious to me than anything else, and I don't think I could throw that away for a few more gulps of air.

Just read through the parts of the thread I missed, and here is a question for Cajun Revolution or any other person that wants to answer.
So as a Christian, you say God is all knowing, and all loving. So as a Christian lets say you live a great life of service to God and being an overall good person. Then a Muslim captures you and says, "Denounce God and we will let you and your family live, or dont denounce him and we will kill you and your family" And you are saying you wouldnt denounce him? I dont get this line of thinking. Wouldnt God know in your heart you still love him since he is all knowing? That those words are hollow and you are only giving lip service so your life will be spared? Why would an all loving God care about that?

A religious person who refused to denounce God would be like a patriotic person who refused to denounce the USA - not because what "America" might think, but because they loved the country so much the could not bring themselves to speak badly of it.

The fact that it was probably a british national who did this, alongside the investigations into extremism in primary(elementary) sschools and an ISIS flag ebing seen flying in London, is pretty disconserting.

He claims to be a devout Christian yet wants to "glass" entire communities of people? That doesn't sound very Christian-like to me. His messages completely contradict one another.

I know thats what the Bible says, but that isnt what I chose to believe. The God I chose to believe, doesnt judge a man by the words he speaks or the church he goes to or the people he trys to convert, but by the actions he takes. The point is by denouncing Christ to save your hide, you are saying you would rather have whatever is left of your natural life than the eternal life promised to you by accepting Christ in front of others.
