Someone told me awhile back that the real problem with vaping is when the person doesn't realize the stuff they put into it is out and they take a puff, its like being by a fire and breathing in the smoke. Not sure how true that is.

What makes them so dangerous?
The govt is losing tax revenue because people are vaping instead of smoking cigs. This is the prelude to taxing vape products like cigs.

My neighbor is one of the heads of the CDC's OSH division. She (no) has been saying for a couple years now how bad the preliminary findings on e-cigs were. She told me today there are a couple dozen more deaths that are being looked at right now related to e-cigs, and likely many more to come.

I overheard a coworker tell someone his doctor advise he switch to jewel or whatever it’s called. The person he was talking to said I’m seeing all these posts showing how bad vaping is.
He said jewel is totally different... is that true?

Jesus...cigs are the worst. They will always find a problem with a safe alternative. When it’s your time to go it’s your time.....

The Juul helped me quit smoking last year. It has helped many people quit smoking. Every news story I’ve seen about someone hospitalized for vaping was because of THC.
This hysteria over vaping is complete bullshite. Yes, it may not be “good” for your lungs, but it’s much better than cigarettes.

So you are saying if someone smokes and gets something from doing so that kills them. If they didn't smoke, something else would have killed them at that exact time?

The latest I've heard is there is preliminary evidence that the spate of extreme cases recently is from people vaping high doses of vitamin E in some black market marijuana cartridges.

I almost pull it out in crazy places like in the hall at work.
Are we still talking about your vape? Because if not, that would be crazy.

One day I'll address vaping and quit but I'm fine with it for now.
Same here, I'll quit one day. Just like I did cigarettes.
Hmmmm

It’s looking like the glycol (or whatever it is) in the vape juice itself is getting trapped in the lungs and cresting a wet environment for all sorts of bacteria. It’s causing pneumonia and other stuff.
They don't have a clue. The CDC hasn't found anything conclusive in any of the cases making the news because vape juice can contain dozens of chemicals and there's no standards for companies that produce them nor can they account for home brewed stuff.

I can only give anecdotal evidence from my experience, i smoked for 20 years and it was killing me, my chest hurt ( eroded esophagus) and when i coughed or sneezed you didnt want to be in a six foot radius from all the phlegm so one day i put them down, was tobacco free for ten years and truthfully hated it. My weight exploded though i was gaining roughly 10 pounds a year, one day i had had enough picked up a early ecig kit. Now i been juuling/ eciging for six years my lungs are clear, arteries are crystal clear actually had a arteriogram for a problem unconnected and a breathing test where i was told my lungs operate at 96% efficiency the same as someone who had never had a cigarette, also im down 40 pounds, so forgive me if im a little skeptical of these outlier studies.

Anything, other than oxygen, that you put in your lungs is not good for you. It's just common sense.

Honestly, I tend to breathe mainly nitrogen, it has worked for me for over 50 years, you should try it, well either that or retake the science classes you failed.

We just know the consequences aren’t as bad as those that come from smoking
Short term maybe, but vaping hasn't been around nearly as long as cigarettes.
In the beginning cigarettes weren't bad for you either.
Not saying one way or the other as of now but in the future, I would not be surprised that long term studies show ecigs to be just as harmful if not more than cigarettes
