I don't think so. I spent 7 semesters at LSU, but didn't graduate. Never been contacted by the alumni association.

Well I've done post graduation courses and they tell the class you are now alumni of lsu during the "graduation". As a real graduate always made me look twice, but it is what they say.

While that is correct, if you need a degree from LSU to be affiliated with LSU, most of you Livingston Parish high school alumni people should stop posting on this site immediately.

a person who has attended or has graduated from a particular school, college, or university

I'm not bothering to link it, but I did find on Wiki, under usage, that alumnus is a former student and MOST OFTEN a graduate of an educational institution.
So, there's that....
I'm sure those that never graduated fight most vigorously for the honor.

I think a lot of NBA and some NFL players that didn’t finish their undergrad would still consider themselves alumni of their respective schools
They’re all certainly listed as famous alumni for those schools
