Interesting as those cities average upper 50s in number of rainy days where as Seattle averages over 150 days of rain.

Good luck in life. You'll need it.

Yeah, I dunno about that. If you're stable enough, you can make a really nice life in most cities in this country.

the air is cleaner
the food is better (except New Orleans)
major sports teams
coastal town
vineyards and breweries
incredible hiking and other destinations around the city

Seattle is an awesome city

Why are you trying to build a shed during the coldest and wettest period of the year?

Haha, I wasn't planning on it. I started in September but had some non-weather related delays that were out of my control. I understand this is a wet time of the year, but this year seems wetter than normal. Maybe it's just the constant fog over the past 3 days. I feel like I haven't seen the sun in weeks.

Get a vitamin D light baw. That depression is serious. There is a reason why Seattle has the highest rate of suicide in the country.

We get lots of torrential downpours followed by days of sunshine.

It's usually a soft rain and doesnt keep you indoors.

That's because of the Olympic Mountains. The rain shadow is why there are so many misty days on the leeward side. Towns on the windward side (Pacific Ocean) get more than 100 inches of rain per year. The tops of the mountains get 200 inches of rain per year, sometimes more, because they - not the best verb to describe this but - rip huge amounts of water out of the air as it travels west, but not all of it. Most of the water is gone by the time air reaches Seattle, but there's still enough left to make it overcast/misty.

There are some places in the rain shadow that have nearly as many sunny days as Florida because they are located where the mountains block the most water. Those places are northwest of Seattle, IIRC. It's been a while since I looked into it, but I was shocked when I learned it.

That's a myth. Pretty sure Vegas is #1. Seattle isn't in the top 20.
