I blame the media.
They won’t allow us to come together. Your either a left leaning baby killing bisexual or a neo nazi.

When's the last time that anybody who leans right has been given a chance to get out more than two words in today's political climate? You have an entire party whose members are basically having to secretly disclose who they voted for out of fear of retaliation or being shut down or publicly shamed. Go ahead and own a business and put a Trump/Pence sign in front. See what happens.

As we see QAnon believers elected, can you really say that?
I’m with you that the Q shite is ridiculous, but you’re mostly talking about a handful of congressmen from rural districts, and, unfortunately the current POTUS.
How the “moderate” left handles their extremist wing is completely different. They either cheered on, ignored or excused the rioting and destruction that took place all summer. Mainstream or moderate Republicans, including their media allies at fox, have universally condemned what happened at the capitol. The hypocrisy and double standard is sickening, and that’s what pisses most people off.

Both sides suck.
Trying to teach my kids to be their own person - have independent thought. Very hard when their friends on social media MAKE them choose a side.

People are choosing to be like this.

Yes.
It's the most divided It's been since the Civil War and Reconstruction.

See, I don't get this at all. It's said all the time but always by families who never watch CNN, MSNBC or the Oscars.

Really depends on your perspective. I was in Florida a few weeks ago, driving through this small town that had nothing but Trump signs everywhere. I saw a diner with a Trump sign still up and it was slammed with folks. If they had a Biden sign, and lauded such, it would probably be empty.
The issue is not having other options to choose from.
We need a third (or more) option - other democratic countries have more representative types of government w/waaay more options.

It seems like nearly all people in the US could get behind more options for political parties. The question is, how do we get there? We’ve nearly always been a two party nation.
The ‘simplest’ solution would probably be moving to a Parliamentary-style government. But this would obviously require writing huge amendments to the Constitution. It’d be a very difficult process, with no guarantee of success at the end of the tunnel.
I’ve seen mentions of ranked choice voting giving us more options. Still I think this would fall victim to the same flaws of our current system where ideological purity is a politician’s seemingly most important attribute.
I’m not sure what the answer is. The country is in a bind. I hope that things can simmer down this year but that’s looking increasingly unlikely.

They don’t make foreigners assimilate and it’s become cool through black culture to be illiterate and uneducated. Free checks to multiply and blame whitey for all your problems...

I pray this as well.
We need strong leadership - not sure where it will come from.

It's all the media's doing. They sit back and laugh while the nation tears itself apart. The mainstream media in this country is completely out of control
