Don’t get me wrong, they were a great band till the singer thought he was the second coming of Jesus and strung out on Lortabs.

Yeah but that’s the natural development of a world-class rock band. Don’t count these Creed fellas out for a heckuva comeback.

Never saw Creed. I have seen Alter Bridge. Tremonti is a tremendous guitarist.

I agree, Cecil.

It’s gotta be a hard call when you know your guitar work and song writing outweighs your pill head singers drunken platitudes.

I’m just looking for some common ground here, counselor

He is a great guitarist but when you tune your guitar like that, a window licker can make something sound good.

And a raging alcoholic.

In the podcast I mentioned, he talks about how he was living two versions of himself. There was the version who grew up in an extremely religious household whose religious views reflected what he was taught, but that he also thought that being in a rock band he had to live the rock star life and usually by the end of a bottle of jack, those two collided and it made him an angry person.

He still seems to have somewhat of an elevated view of himself, but I always thought he had a pretty good rock voice (not at all saying one of the better rock voices, just pretty good)

I’m surprised no one has been triggered by the clips of people wearing N95 masks yet.

Tremoni looks like he’s having a temper tantrum over having to pretend to play. I also can’t watch old Creed videos anymore without thinking it could have been Bert Kreischer singing.

I have seen Alter Bridge as well. I am a Tremonti fan and Myles Kennedy has a set of pipes on him.

The song Mark Tremonti wrote for his mom makes me think of my dad every time I hear it

In Loving Memory

The live version Myles Kennedy does of Watch Over You is great

The feud between Scott Stapp and Fred Durst in the TRL days was the ultimate douche off of the early 2000s

Tremonti is an overhyped spaz. No one in Creed is particularly talented, but they sound good together.

blah blah blah go frick yourself.

I'm friends with Scott because my daughter is best friends with his daughter and my wife and his wife do girls night out all the time.

He's a great guy and kicked all the substance abuse crap. He's working out 7 days a week and very health conscious. Hell his wife is the HOA president of Laurelbrooke.

So quit talking out of your arse and acting like you know something.

Listen to his stuff outside of Alter Bridge and Creed and get back to me

Also, the melodic playing and strong riffs on Creed's first album when he was only like 21 or 22 are damn strong.

To be fair he was an alcoholic. That doesn't mean he isn't a good guy now but it is well-known he was and part of the reason the other 3 guys quit and started Alter Bridge. That and Scott's ego was too much for them.

On Theo Vonn's podcast he talks about his childhood. It was pretty fricked up, I just wish they were harder rock than they were.

Creed had some great songs with great guitar work. They just got overplayed, Stapp had a mental breakdown and they became easy to make fun of.

That podcast was really good. He was really honest about the fame, ego and the mental breakdown and seems back in control of his life now. Seems like a good dude. Their first CD was one of the great debuts.
