Today I saw T-shirt for kid with rainbow and says pride. Would you buy for your kid?

No because I’m not a shitty parent who endorses the gay

Just don’t want kid to grow up thinking I’ll still love him if he starts sucking dicks.

Nah. My kid wouldn't wear it either.

My sister is kind of a SJW and I could see my niece wearing this.

My son knows I'll still love him if he turns out liking dicks. And he also knows I'll support him when he breaks a punk arse kid's nose for picking on a gay kid.

That seems like pretty effective birth control.

I guess it's better than a dress.

But, the answer is no. There's no reason for "pride" if you want equality.

Worry what your own kids wear.

It can be trashy from either side of the political spectrum.

Do you have absolutely zero capacity for empathy?

What would you do if a large fraction of the population discriminated against you and said things or acted in a way that made you feel ashamed of your own feelings and who you are? Would you just continue hiding who you are and live your life feeling less than equal? Or would you at some point decide that you are proud of who you are and let others know that you don't give a frick what they think?

Equality doesn't just happen, humans tend to go the opposite direction. The oppressed have to continuously fight for equality. And don't give me any shite about gay people aren't oppressed, because you know damn well that covert oppression is absolutely everywhere.

Do you have zero capacity for anything deeper than the superficial?

I would, and do, teach my kids that they are equal to everybody else on the planet, and they should feel confident in themselves. They should feel and act like they belong anywhere, because they do. If a rainbow shirt is necessary for my kid to feel good about himself, I will have failed as a parent.

On that note ...

You can't say "I'm proud to be special" and "I'm no different than anybody else." It doesn't make sense.
