Do you have zero capacity for anything deeper than the superficial?

You can't say "I'm proud to be special" and "I'm no different than anybody else." It doesn't make sense.

Do you see what you did there?

As you lay it out the second statement is not logical but it is because you framed it that way. We are individuals and all different in various ways and it is healthy to take pride in our individuality save for the dark traits. That does not mean we have then divorced ourselves from the idea of sharing our humanity with everyone else and thus should be able to avail ourselves of our rights as humans.

:wat:

Your rights as humans? What rights are you referring to? What rights are denied to you? Be specific.

You can't say "treat us like everybody else" while you fly your own special flag with your special clothes with your special symbols.

You can't demand equality when you walk in your special parades flaunting sexual behavior that would get other people arrested or shut down for violation of decency standards.

You can't demand equal protection under the law while you force people to participate in your ceremonies against their will, under threat of lawsuit and destruction of their life's work just because of your special lifestyle.

You want equal treatment? Act like it. You want people to see you like an ordinary person? Ditch the "pride."
